90th Birthday Party Celebrations Raises Funds For The Lifeboats
Mr. Dave Gleeson a native of Pilmore, near Youghal celebrated his ninetieth birthday party back in October with his many friends and relations, but instead of wishing for presents, Dave asked for donations to be made to the RNLI Lifeboat based in Youghal.
The ninetieth party celebrations were held in the Walter Raleigh Hotel on 13th October 2007 and a lifeboat collection box was made available for the proceeds. The party guests contributed generously to the cause and the total monies raised made 725 Euros.
This was a very nice gesture made by Dave Gleeson, who now resides in Douglas, Isle of Man, and during a recent return visit to Youghal, he made a presentation to committee members of the Youghal RNLI Fundraising Branch.
