Bertie’s Golf Society ‘Probably the best golf society in the World’

Tommy Bulman claims first place for the most coveted trophy of the year.

Saturday the 23rd of Feb saw the 2nd playing of the Bertie Dempsey Memorial Trophy at Youghal Golf Club, when a huge amount of members and guests alike turned up to honour the memory of a great man, and a fantastic character. The Competition was won by Tommy (Dog) Bulman with a great score of 42pts. Paul Dempsey representing the ‘Dempsey Family’ presented Tommy with the trophy at Bertie Dempsey’s Bar on the same night.

The day itself was a blustery one, but thankfully a dry one and Bertie’s Golf Society would like to thank Youghal Golf Club for the use of their magnificent facilities, congratulate Patsy O’Regan the Youghal Captain on his appointment and thank him for his participation on the day. Derek Kiely Secretary BGS Bertie’s would also like to thank, the Bar Staff, Catering, Liam Burns and the Course Staff for their help on the day.
