Kinsalebeg NS Science Open Day

“Eureka!” Science student Clodagh Whelan from 4th class demonstrates Archimedes’ Principle on floating bodies to the amazement of teachers Ms. Morey, Ms. Fleming and Principal Mrs Mullins at the Kinsalebeg N.S. Science Open Day

As part of the Primary Science Award of Excellence Kinsalebeg NS held a school Science Day.
On this day each class set up experiments, demonstrations and displays.
Ms Morey’s class displayed their work on electricity, magnetism, gravity, design, and human life
Ms Fleming’s class displayed experiments to show static electricity, hot air rising, construction, density and conditions needed for growth.

Mrs Mullins’ class demonstrated sound, magnetism, friction and growth.
Also as part of this project children from 3rd to 6th class will also visit The Discover Science Centre in Lismore. Senior Classes are keeping a Science Log and diary using our new lap tops courtesy of our Parents Association.
