Youghal Pipe Band – South of Ireland Pipe Band Championship

Youghal Pipe Band travelled to Cobh last Sunday June 1st 2008 to compete in the South of Ireland Pipe Band Championship. This annual event draws many talented bands from all over the country to compete in the various grades of 5, 4 & 3.

Youghal Pipe Band beat off stiff competition to win 2nd place in Grade 5 and also 3rd Place in Grade 3. The band are also going forward to compete for the first time in the “All Ireland Pipeband Championships” 2008. The championships are being held in Ennis, Co. Clare on the 5th July 2008.
