The junior snooker team finals were held last Saturday and all the players showed great skill on the green baize. The players turned out in the obligatory dress code, which was great to see. Snooker amongst the juniors was never so popular at the society and all the championship tables are in constant play. The tables are kept in impeccable order due to the high standard of care by the four caretakers and the tournament committee ran the event to a strict timetable. The President of the Society William Kelly thanked all those involved and a special mention to Brendan Cooney who acted as tournament referee throughout the matches and co-ordinated the event. Thanks also to all the junior scorekeepers who played an important role for each of the matches. Well done to the winners, the runners-up and to all the participants who took part in this very competitive and enjoyable snooker tournament
