East Cork Home Care Ltd is a new locally owned and managed company providing qualified Nurses, experienced Carers and Home Helps to help care for persons in their own home. East Cork Home Care is owned and managed by nurses Andrea Holland and Denise McArdle and is based in Midleton, however as the name suggests East Cork Home Care offer their services throughout the East Cork region.

The aim of East Cork Home Care is to provide care for persons in their own home. The care that is offered is Home Help / Home Support and personal care. East Cork Home Care understands the importance for persons, especially the elderly, to be able to choose to remain in their own home. East Cork Home Care will provide professional care at a reasonable and fair cost. East Cork Home Care will seek to look at the most affordable way to provide a service. Services are offered from as little as a few hours a week or as many as 24 hours a day. Short-term respite relief or longer-term care is available seven days a week.

East Cork Home Care provide care to Adults, Older Persons, Persons with Physical Disabilities, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, Persons with Learning Disabilities, Terminal Illness, Mental Health issues.
The care that East Cork Home Care provides includes personal care, Home help/Home support, day sits and night sits.

Personal Care includes: Bathing or Showering, Oral care, Skin Care, Washing and Dressing, Toileting and Incontinence, Feeding, Assistance to and from bed, Meal preparation and cooking, Mobility Assistance, Light House Work, Social Interaction, Prompting and supervision of medications, Reading to Client, Conversation and Companionship.

Home Help / Home Support consists of light house work which includes: Hoovering, Dusting, Making Beds, Change bedclothes, Tidying, Mopping, Washing Dishes. Clothes Washing that includes Drying, Ironing, Putting Away, Meal Preparation, Shopping, Pension Collection, Prescription Collection, Conversation and Companionship.

Day Sits allows families to have a break whether it is for 2 hours or the entire day while an East Cork Home Care carer looks after the client. Night Sits allow for the families to be comfortable with the knowledge that their loved one is safe and secure under the watchful eye of an East Cork Home Care carer.
