The Youghal Art Group

The Youghal Art Group started in 1995, so this is our 14th annual exhibition. The first exhibition was held in the Courthouse and was at that venue for many years until it was closed down for refurbishment. Since then we’ve used various venues and this year we are at the Methodist Church Hall in Friar St. The exhibition will open on Friday 1st August at 7.30pm and will continue from 11.30am to 7.30pm daily until Sunday 10th August.
The group meets on the second Wednesday of every month at Nagle House in South Abbey. Sometimes we have a speaker at our meeting. Occasionally we have one- day workshops or a series of master classes on Saturdays. We also go on outings to galleries or meet and paint together. At present we have 15 members. New members are always welcome. Contact any member of the group.

This year our exhibition is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend Anna O’Neill RIP, an inspiring member of our group who is sadly missed. Anna’s wisdom, enthusiasm and creativity has made a permanent impression on The Youghal Art Group and her wonderful sense of humour brightened many a meeting for us through the years. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
