		<description>As someone who lives in a certified Fairtrade borough in England all I can say is having the status really does boost people&#039;s understanding of what Fairtrade is. Since I operate a fashion label that specialises in Fairtrade cotton, I regularly take part in local events. I&#039;m always surprised to come across people who have no idea what it is! At least Fairtrade Fortnight and similar events creates a platform to have a dialogue with people about it--that what you shop for is a form of voting and real change!
