Youghal Arts Network presented a wonderful concert and dance in the Mall Arts Centre as part of the Summerfest ’08 programme of events. The excellent Tuxedo Junction, a sixteen-piece orchestra who varied between jazz, swing, ballroom and numbers from the big musical shows, provided the music.

After only a few musical pieces the crowd were on the dance floor and everybody had a really good knees up. The band took a break after about an hour and refreshments were served in the Atrium. For the rest of the evening the floor was full as we were transported back to the Roaring Forty’s and the days of swing. The night was a huge success and the orchestra hope to return to play for us again for Summerfest 2009
