Youghal Credit Union Launches ATM Service
By Christy Parker
Youghal Mayor Olly Casey officially opened the local Credit Union’s inaugural ATM facility on last Saturday morning (Oct 4th). The new service allows access to their account 24/7 and was introduced following a member survey supporting it. Chairman of Youghal Credit Union, Peter O’ Donnell says, “the ATM service, coupled with our new website www.youghalcu.ie offers members the most up to date services available.”
Members can acquire ATM cards by calling to the main office in Youghal or sub offices in Ardmore or Killeagh. A specific ATM account must be opened, which will be the only account from which withdrawals are permitted. A PIN number will be sent through the post, on receipt of which the card can be collected by calling to the main office with a current ID photo.
Youghal Credit Union currently has assets of €83 million. The members of the co operative have savings of €73 million and loans outstanding of €41 million. The launch of the ATM corresponds with the tenth anniversary of the move to the present premises. The annual general meeting of Youghal Credit Union Ltd. takes place on November 25th in the Walter Raleigh Hotel.
