Party On!
Party On! is a new Youghal business that will cater for children’s birthday parties for ages 3-10 years of age. The launch party was held in the Methodist Hall on Friar Street and ran from 4pm to 6pm. The place was buzzing with kiddies laughing and playing and making clay bits and bobs.
This idea came about from two very experienced mothers, Amanda Hogan and Fiona Murphy, who have been working with children for years. Fiona who has two children, is a trained community nurse and was the founder in 2002 of Youghal’s very own mother and toddler group, The Tweenies, which is held twice weekly in this same hall, which allows mothers of young children to meet up and chat thus leaving the children to play together.
Also a mother of two Amanda, is a qualified nursery nurse and has also been involved with the Tweenies group but notably in the community where she has run very successful children’s arts and crafts workshops during the very popular Visual Arts Festival that has been running successfully in Youghal over the past few years.
Operating in the Methodist Hall on Friar Street, parents can book their child’s birthday party whereby the children (up-to 20) will do three craft projects, numerous traditional games such as pass the parcel, musical chairs and a full tea party. Each party is tailor made to suit the age of the party guests and lasts for 2 hours. Also included in the package are the party bags which the children decorate themselves and fillers (the crafts among them) and of course not forgetting the famous Birthday cake. All this for a mere €14 per child with no charge for the birthday child. A steal!

The children were well supervised and one could tell that the staff is well experienced and qualified in childcare. Both ladies have taken First-Aid courses, which is reassuring to parents just incase there are little accidents.
No stress, No mess for the parents and each party guarantees fun for all.
For Halloween next weekend, Party On! Will be organizing two open parties on Saturday November 1st for 4-7 year olds from 2-4pm and for 8-10year olds from 5-7pm. Halloween party fun and games for all with lots of goodies to take home. If you’d like your children to take part, make your booking now as places are limited.
