Youghal Bands for Amnesty Gigs

Amnesty’s Small Places tour comes to Youghal this week when The Gate bar hosts several local bands and artists over Friday and Saturday nights (Nov 28th & 29th). Amongst those participating are De Burca, The ReSession Band (appropriately titled) and Steve Whelan (Friday 28th) and Little Creatures, Planet Claire (Saturday 29th).

The gigs are part of Amnesty International’s Irish sections’ initiative to “bring human rights into workplaces, factories, sports clubs, halls, recreation centres -and lives. Seldom has it been more needed. Hundreds of performers are giving their services free across the country through October to December, in the build up to the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on Dec 10th. If you weren’t planning to go out, now you have a good excuse to change your mind!
