Cllr Sammy Revins, who represents Youghal Council on the national urban regeneration programme, Rapid, says funding has finally been received for remedial work on the facility. “We have acquired €120, 000 from Rapid and the contract is ready to go out tender in the coming days,” says the councillor. “We’d expect work to start sometime in May.” It is anticipated that a new surface will be laid at the popular playground as well as repairs and upgrading of the various attractions.
