She explained “An Independent MEP has been elected every term since 1979 because we bypass party politics and have only one allegiance, our constituents. Independents work directly for the people they represent and not for party agendas. They are not limited by party policy or party pacts. I have been Munster’s independent voice for the past five years and would love to continue with this work.”

“It has been a privilege and an honour serving the people of Munster and I would like to thank everyone for their trust in me. The road ahead is long and difficult but I am quietly confident.
