A former SIPTU Shop Steward, Sandra has direct experience of traditional industries closing down and leaving towns desolate of good jobs. She believes that job creation is the biggest issue facing East Cork.

Sandra is married to Liam and has three children. She is acutely aware of the pressures facing families today.
Sandra has worked at national level in developing Sinn Fein Health policy particularly around the need to provide good quality preventative cancer care.
A member of the Fairtrade Committee, Sandra was instrumental in achieving Fairtrade Status for Youghal. She is Chairperson of the New Enterprise Centre at St. Marys College and is also a member of the Community Alert and the Tidy Towns Taskforce Committees.
