Spectacular fire at Knockadoon lights up the evening sky seen over Youghal Bay
More than 20 firefighters from Youghal, Midleton and Mallow brought the gorse fire under control and stayed on to dampen down the area to make sure it didn’t flare up again. They were back in the station after 8am this morning.

The fire occurred over a large area of land located towards the cliff face.
The fire could be seen as far away as Youghal and Castlemartyr.
