The token male in the band is the very versatile George Norman from Georgia, US who adds the South American flavour with tangos and swing tunes on his mando blaster plus mind blowing solos on acoustic mandolin. I have just been to hear the Polskadots at the Collegiate Church and for me it was an uplifting experience. Beautiful rythms and voices blending in harmony vibrating off the stone walls to fill the hugh space. They played a fantastic mixture of Finnish, Hungarian, Russian music and songs to an appreciative audience. Hope they come to Youghal again soon.
