Following on last years successful first outing it was decided to have the same again this year.
The sun shone brightly on the events and locals and holiday makers alike had a fabulous afternoons fun.
This years activities featured kite flying, kite surfing and wind surfing courtesy of Lawrence Boland and Barry Hannigan of Kiteskool.com. Both these gentlemen are qualified BKSA instructors and they spent the afternoon showing and demonstrating their skills to young and old alike on the beach.
There were activities for beginners and plenty of opportunities for those at an advanced level to show their skills.

There was a Sand Castle competition for all those on the beach and this was eagerly contested by local families and visitors from Limerick, Cork, Dublin and the North.
Prizes were awarded at 5o’clock and no participants went home empty handed.
All in all it was a hugely enjoyable day and one we will repeat next year.The Youghal Arts Network would like to thank the lifeguards at Claycastle beach for their cooperation and smooth running of all the events.
