This the HMS Bounty that has been seen in Pirates of the Caribbean II and at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean III. Bounty was the Edinburgh Trader ship, NOT the Black Pearl. The Black Pearl was created by Disney and does not sail around. Two totally different ships! Sorry to burst the bubble!

      Hi Dyann,

Your comments are perfectly correct and on behalf of the HMS Bounty Organization whom we act as agents for from time to time during her European visits we would stress that nobody from that company, her crew, nor her agents would ever suggest that HMS Bounty was the Black Pearl, the ship was built for the film Mutiny on the Bounty in 1960, thereafter has been in about 49 films, in Pirates of the Carribean 2 and 3 she was the Merchant of Edinburgh. Where this story came from we have no idea, but it is not true.

  3. Hi Dyann
Thank you and the Maritime International Group in bringing to our attention that HMS Bounty was NOT the Black Pearl. We have made the correction as requested by Margaret Ramsey of HMS Bounty organisation. It was great to see this magnificent ship in Cobh and hope that the captain and crew had a wonderful stay in Cobh.
    All the best
