Celebrating Corks Past was a great exhibition. I spent at least 2 hours going around the different exhibits looking at what local Historical Groups had produced regarding their own area. There were exhibits there from all over County Cork. However I was both surprised and disappointed to find that Youghal , with its wealth of history , was not represented at all, nor even mentioned anywhere. I think this was a lost opportunity to showcase what we have to offer in the line of Local History and in doing so to encourage people to come and visit the town.
