I went to the Choke Comedy show tonight , not knowing what to expect and I was both entertained and surprised by a different kind of show. The audience was small but appreciative, and the hall was rocking with laughter for the better part of 2 hrs. Sometimes I missed a joke because the young people in front of me were laughing so much. The show was versatile and never lagged in energy. It was plain that the cast greatly enjoy what they do. pity they were not better supported. Those of us lucky to be there were treated to something different and came away light hearted.
Kay, thank you very much for your kind comments, I’m glad you enjoyed your night, I thought they were hilarious and so full of energy ! I thought we got a good audience being the first show and all, live comedy… but its all in the quality and I believe the quality of audience that we had last Friday night, who were willing to try something different, will hopefully come back again and again to support their local arts centre because without the support of the local people the centre cannot continue, unfortunately. More drama and comedy lined up for the month of November, hope to see you there ! thanks again and spread the word !
