The annual playing of the Bertie Dempsey Memorial Trophy took place at Youghal Golf Club over the weekend, where a huge amount of members and guests alike turned up to honour the memory of a great man, and a fantastic character. The Competition was won by Martin Desmond. Paul Dempsey representing the ‘Dempsey Family’ presented Martin with the trophy at Bertie Dempsey’s Bar last Saturday night (20th of Feb. 2010)

The society unveiled a new Captain’s and Presidents board at the presentation ceremony. Bertie’s Golf Society would like to thank Youghal Golf Club for the use of their magnificent facilities and Bertie’s would also like to thank, the Bar Staff, Catering, Liam Burns and the Course Staff for their help on the day.
