The fourth annual Emer Casey Memorial 10K run/walk was held in brilliant sunshine on Sunday, May 23th 2010. Congratulations to Sandis Bralitis from West Waterford AC on winning the mens’ race for the second time (2007 winner) and to Lizzie Lee from Leevale AC on winning the Ladies’ race. Another wonderful turnout in support of the Emer Casey Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. This year saw our lovely town bathed in beautiful warm sunshine which resulted in many people witnessing this fabulous event. Some ran, some wheeled, some walked, some strolled, but everybody participated. Great credit is due to the huge amount of voluntary work and organising that is done each year to make this 10k the efficient and welcoming run that it is. Continued good wishes to the Casey family and every success to the work of the Foundation. Michael D.
