The day has finally come upon us, Friday 16th July, judging day for the Pride of Place Competition. The KGK Community Sports Hall Committee would like to invite and encourage everyone from the combined Parishes to attend.

Remember this event is very much about us all coming together to shape, change and enjoy all that is good about our local area. There are many of you that have been working extra hard at preparing for this event which is reinforcing the involvement of the local community in all aspects of rural and urban life particularly in promoting social inclusion and cohesion. Everyone is welcome to help; you can do this by contacting Mike O’ Neill on 086 2538272 or Eamonn Lonergan on 086 8398247. Your presence on Friday 16th at 10am in the KGK Community Sports Hall will help recognise and celebrate the vital contributions that our local community groups make to our society.

There will be entertainment and catering along with a PowerPoint presentation to help the judges see what is being carried out in this all-embracing Community. Do come along and enjoy the social spirit of the occasion.

We are also very happy to inform you that the Killeagh Choir and Castlelyons Gospel Choir will be performing in the hall on Saturday September 25th. This is sure to be a very entertaining night; we will have more details nearer the time.
