The object of the exercise is to show each agencies working skills and equipment and to blend them together in the event of a major emergency. The exercise consists of a vessel in distress at sea and several casualties having to be recovered from the water.
The casualties were then transferred to the shore where the Lifeguards and Youghal Coast Guard Unit transported them to the HSE ambulance service for treatment. The planned joint exercises was a great success with all the emergency services working well together.
