Large crowds came to see the wonderful vintage cars and bikes and listen to the free live entertainment at the seventh annual classic car and bike show which took place on the front lawn of Farrell’s bar in Summerfield.
Held over Saturday 26th May and Sunday 27th May, the event commenced with a run to Villierstown in west Waterford at 2pm on Saturday, returning for a prize-giving ceremony for 28 perpetual cups at 6pm.
A terrific array of vehicles were on display. The colours, shapes, sizes and ages of all the vintage, veteran and classic cars and bikes is a kaleidoscope of colour with shining bodywork, glistening wing mirrors, gleaming fenders and lovingly cared for upholstery.
The show is run as a strict classic car show, no steam engines or tractors in sight which usually is the norm at these events. Overseas clubs were represented also.
