A CONTINGENT OF 39 YOUGHAL SCOUTS spent 10 days at the beginning of August on Summer Camp in Woodhouse Park Scouting campsite in Bristol. The group consisted of 27 scouts, 7 venture scouts and 5 leaders. The group was led by Group Leader Ned Brennan and Scout Leaders Mark Curley, Dawn Donovan, Luke McCarthy and Mike Morrissey
The scouts enjoyed a whole variety of activities at Woodhouse Park including, archery, rock climbing, absailing, karting and orienteering.

The highlight of the camp was a day trip to Thorpe Park outdoor adventure park near London. Thorpe Park is one of the largest outdoor adventure parks in Europe and the adventure rides and roller coasters are not for the faint hearted. “The camp was full of adventure and activity and great fun was had by all” Ned commented.
