First Cut! Youth Film Festival 2012 Cobh Co Cork opens on Saturday October 6th.

This is THE place to be if you want your short films in front of a live audience on the BIG SCREEN! We have a truly amazing Festival Programme this year..with a
focus on Animation and Script. We are putting the finishing touches to the Programme but here goes.. we are delighted to reveal just some of this years highlights!
Fighting Words,
On Monday October 8th we are delighted to have this great organisation on board for our Schools Day and we will screen this film made with Brown Bag,

With animated film, everything you can imagine becomes possible: you can shape your very own world just the way you want it.

We are thrilled to welcome Jan Caspers and Gary Rosborough to Cobh. Their skills and experience will we hope bring amazing opportunities to young people in Cobh over the 4 days following the Festival weekend and in the months and years to come.

This Festival is dedicated to supporting and celebrating young filmmaking talent by bringing together young people with an interest in the film industry and offering them opportunities to view new films and participate in filmmaking workshops.
This year we have Acting for Film, Editing, Scriptwriting, Fresh Film Festival, Cinemobile..

We cant wait for the Spike Music Video Screenings!

Do you enjoy watching films? First Cut! Festival will be announcing a full Programme of shorts, features, animated & digital films, documentaries, drama, horror and more..
All will be shown in Cinemobile in Cobh in October!
The Cinemobile, one of the most adventurous projects of the National Millennium Committee, is a magnificent, state-of-the-art 100-seater mobile cinema. With over 300,000 visitors to date, the Cinemobile brings the magic of the movies to your doorstep.


This is a Free Festival and is Open to all young people who are interested in films and filmmaking,

and South and East Cork Area Development Ltd, (SECAD).The First Cut! Film Festival receives financial assistance from the Arts Council.
