The Advent Service of Light takes place in The Collegiate Church of Saint Mary, Youghal, this Sunday, 2nd December, at 7.30 p.m.
This atmospheric and service begins in the darkened church and ends with the congregational lighting of distributed candles, representing preparation for the coming of The Light of the World at Christmas. The Clerks Choral sing anthems and lead the congregation in the well loved Advent hymns.
The Clergy of the Catholic, Methodist and Church of Ireland Churches take part in the service.
Come very well wrapped up, as it takes place in the unheated nave of the church!!
