First Cut! Youth Film Project is delighted to offer a series of Two-Day Film Workshops.
Young Filmmakers Workshop Easter 2013 http://www.firstcutfilmfestival.com/
This intensive two day workshop is geared towards youth with a strong interest in enhancing their filmmaking skills. Young filmmakers working as a group will learn further filmmaking techniques. DAY 1: will include hands-on workshops in using equipment and in film theory. It will also include the preparation of the story for the short film.
DAY 2: will be all action, a full day devoted to the shooting of a short digital film, giving participants the opportunity to experience the filmmaking process in more depth.
with experienced animator Jane Lee. In these fully hands-on workshops participants learnt to animate using a range of techniques – from plasticene model animation, clay-mation and even acting to camera using live action filming techniques.
These workshops will take place in 4 centres around South and East Cork with the young filmmakers involved attending the one happening nearest to them.
Possible centres include: Carrigaline, Youghal, Midleton, Glanmire, Cobh and Ballincollig, and will be based on the number of young people applying from each area. Venues will be confirmed Monday March 11th.
Places will be offered on a first come basis and will be secured with a €10 registration fee. This is the only charge for this course.
This project is organised by FIRST CUT! Youth Film Project in association with Cork Film Centre and funded by the South and East Cork Area Development (SECAD), Arts Office of Cork County Council and the Arts Council.
