Cork Mental Health Foundation (CHMF) will celebrate World Mental Health Day with a half day seminar in the Curtis Auditorium Cork School of Music from 8.30am to 1.00 pm on Wednesday October 8th. The Seminar includes a presentation on Eating Disorders by Adrienne Adams and Thomas Glowatki of Shandon Health Centre followed by a one-act play “Suicide Notes” by Peadar Donohoe.
Both sessions will be followed by information and panel discussions to allow delegates examine thoughts or comments they may have following both sessions. This will allow for an open and secure forum to create awareness and understanding of mental health which is one of the goals of CMHF. Counsellors and support groups will be present throughout the morning to allow for more in-depth discussion and exchange.Cork Mental Health Foundation was established in 1962 to promote positive mental health and to help people with mental disabilities and has since then grown and developed.
