ST. RAPHAEL’S CENTRE YOUGHAL held their annual St. Patrick’s Day parade a couple of days early this year (Tuesday March 13th 2012). The colourful cast of characters in fancy dress costumes paraded around the grounds of the complex, led by Local piper Christy McCarthy from the Youghal Pipe Band. This year’s theme was “The Pirates of the Howling Wolf” with the St. Raphael’s Art & Drama group. The parade is held early to facilitate those who are unable to attend the parade on the 17th March – St. Patrick’s Day.

“The Pirates of the Howling Wolf”, will take place at the Methodist Church, Friar St. Youghal on Friday, 16th March 2012 at 4pm. The production forms part of the Moby Dick Festival. St. Raphael’s residents have also painted some large boards in the Moby Dick theme which will be going on display around town during the festival.
