Youghal RFC in partnership with Youghal Chamber of Tourism & Development and the Youghal Vintners Association launched their second annual ‘Tag to Youghal Rugby Festival’ in Youghal Rugby Club, which will take place from 12th – 14th August 2011.

Following on from the success of the inaugural event in 2010 which drew teams from all over the country, this year’s event is set to be an even bigger and better spectacle, with €1000 worth of prize money to be won, and a festival packed full of music and entertainment built around the event.
Tag rugby has grown in popularity all around the country, with the most important rule about tag rugby being to have fun and enjoy oneself! Each team must have 2 ladies as a minimum with one female on the pitch at all times.
The ‘Tag to Youghal’ Rugby Festival kicks off for locals, tourists and visiting teams with a free open air concert by The Kieran Kramer Band, in Market Square from 7.30 – 9.30 pm, on Friday 12th August, and continues with the ‘Pubfest’ music trail throughout the town.

On Saturday 13th August, the tag rugby blitz gets underway in Youghal Rugby Club, in Frogmore, from 12 noon and continues through to – 7.30 pm. Pitch side music will be by ‘Diva Sensation’, plus expect food, and loads of fun competitions, all followed by prize giving ceremony. A series of events including a crab-catching competition and food & craft fair will feature in the centre of the town once again throughout the day. That evening ‘Gaga4Pint’; the Lady Gaga/Pink Tribute Band will take to the stage.
The weekend of fun continues on Sunday 14th August, with a vintage show at Farrell’s Summerfield Bar, and even more live music in the ‘pubfest’ throughout the town.

Youghal RFC in partnership with Youghal chamber of Tourism and the Youghal Vintners Association hosted the successful “Tag to Youghal” Festival from 13th to 15th August 2010.

On Saturday (14th August 2010) the tag rugby Blitz took place from 12noon – 6pm, with pitch side music, food, fun competitions and entertainment followed by prize giving. With €1000 worth of prize money to be won, this attracted a competitive entry from all over Munster and provided an afternoon of first class sporting entertainment.
