Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, the active community group had to postpone the Teddy Bear Picnic on Sunday June 3rd. The event is open to the public with lots of family entertainment free from two to four. A large crowd attended last year and fingers and Bears Paws crossed for sunny weather this Sunday!
Also on the day Ken Brookes will present the group with branded “Youghal4All” jackets to be used by the community ambassadors whilst welcoming visitors to the town. We expect this to take place at about 3 p.m.
Paula Tutty has been working hard organising the family day out for June 17th in Greenpark. We have been trying to ensure almost everything is free says Paula. A great family day should be had by all. Anyone with ideas/ offers of help etc should email youghalcc@gmail.com

Youghal 4 All was previously known as the Youghal Concerned Citizens and was founded in March 2011.
The group exists to allow ordinary people improve their town. We believe everybody has something to offer whether it be taking part in clean-ups, carrying out marketing, painting, fund raising or plotting a new community development for Youghal.
Since our conception we have achieved an enormous amount:
Improved the appearance of Youghal through clean-ups at Buttimer’s Quay and Mall Beach and weeding and cleaning along the front of the fire station. Our proposal to Youghal Town Council regarding dog-littering has also been put into practice.
Staged Numerous events and festivals throughout 2011 for the residents of Youghal and visitors alike: The Teddy Bear’s picnic, Youghal Gold Label Seafood Pie competition, Mackerel Food Festival, Youghaloween Spooktacular, A Dickensian Christmas.
We have promoted Youghal as a destination for tourism through coordination and meetings with tour operators and other organisations such as SECAD and Discover Ireland. Volunteers met and greeted visitors on arriving to Youghal and we handed the tourists our leaflets about what to see and do in Youghal in 30 minutes and 1 hour, and also on the history of Youghal.
Supported other groups – Save Youghal Ambulance and the Blackwater Estuary Action Group (BEAG).
Youghal 4 All care passionately about Youghal as a place to live and to visit. We have a beautiful town inhabited by wonderful people and want to make sure it is seen in its best light. If you have an idea that you think would improve Youghal, come along to one of our meetings (or come along just to listen).
