What is Shave Or Dye?
Last month Today FM launched our first charity drive in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. We called on listeners to sponsor our presenters to Shave or Dye their hair, or join in by taking part in their own Shave or Dye event.
The overall campaign has been a phenomenal success. We set ourselves a lofty target of €200,000 worth of funds to raise but, as you can see from the total above, your generosity has meant that we’ve more than doubled that.

On behalf of the Irish Cancer Society, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everybody who helped out in whatever way they could. Each year in Ireland, almost 28,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed, resulting in over 7,800 deaths, while cancer related illness accounts for almost one quarter of the annual death toll in Ireland. Your efforts will make a massive contribution to the research and care the Irish Cancer Society undertake.
